Expert Advice: What to Expect During a Facial Filler Treatment

March 6, 2023

When you visit me at That Master Nurse for a facial filler treatment, you can expect a memorable experience. I will walk you through the process and provide superior care throughout the entire procedure.

Getting a facial filler treatment can be intimidating at first, but don't worry – I have over 13 years of experience as a nurse and I am committed to helping make this a pleasant experience. During your pre-treatment consultation, we will discuss possible side effects and assess your suitability for injectables. I'lll also help you understand what to expect during the procedure itself.

The typical facial filler treatment goes something like this: your skin is first cleansed with an antimicrobial agent and then numbed with an anesthetic cream (depending on the treatment area). Next, we will inject dermal fillers into precise areas of your face that need extra volume and shape – such as around the chin, cheekbones, forehead, or lips – according to your desired results. Once injected, the fillers take effect immediately; however, it may take up to two weeks for full results to appear as your body adjusts to them.

Keep in mind that mild side effects are normal following filler injections and may include redness, swelling, or bruising at injection sites. Don’t worry; these usually resolve themselves quickly within a few days’ time. However, if they persist more than three days after treatment contact me at That Master Nurse right away so that we can assess the situation further and ensure everything is alright.

Your comfort is always my highest priority – during treatment, I work slowly and carefully to reduce discomfort for everyone involved. At That Master Nurse, I use advanced techniques that minimize potential scarring and downtime following treatments; however there are no guarantees when it comes to invasive treatments such as fillers — so please make sure you research any post-treatment healing expectations before scheduling your appointment with me!

At That Master Nurse, I strive for excellence every step of the way – from start to finish, you can trust that I will provide optimal aesthetic results without compromising safety! To learn more about what it's like to receive expert care, schedule a free consultation today!
